JePPIX and ePIXfab have joined forces again to organize the 13th edition of the European Photonic Integration Forum (EPIF). The purpose of this year’s EPIF is to sum-up the PIC-year since last ECOC in terms of PIC developments and the people behind these key developments. We will bring an impressive PIC start-up story, a corporates PIC-vision, and exciting stories of latest PIC-developments by JePPIX partners and ePIXfab members.

The highlight of the program will be two 30-minute keynote & interview sessions from and with high-profile speakers from the PIC industry. A Q&A session with the audience will be included here. JePPIX partners and ePIXfab members will also introduce recent developments (new products, new services, other announcements) through a series of 1-minute videos. The EPIF will conclude with a networking reception, during which extra visibility will be given to our sponsors.

Roel Baets (Professor of Photonic Integration at Ghent University) interviews Stefan Abel (Co-CEO and Founder at Lumiphase) about what the integration of novel materials with silicon photonics can deliver.

17:00 – 17:30: Keynote & Interview Session – Toshiba
Kevin Williams (Professor of Photonic Integration at Eindhoven University of Technology) interviews Taofiq Paraiso (Research Scientist at Toshiba) about PIC technologies for quantum secure communications.

17:30 – 18:00:    JePPIX partners and ePIXfab members present their latest developments through a series of 1-minute videos
